Our newest educational product allows students to experiment with Micro Fuel Cell technology first hand. We use micro fuel cells from Angstrom Power Inc. to provide schools and universities with a fully integrated electronic application.
Students, at a variety of levels, can utilize the Heliocentris Micro Fuel Cell System to run a variety of experiments and explore how these new cells will power commercial electronics.Use our radio as a great attention grabber in the classroom!
The Demo version of this package provides a power source to fuel the electrolyser, which gives students their own hydrogen source. This in turn gives the micro fuel cell enough hydrogen energy to operate.
Our more advanced Edu-version provides an additional micro fuel cell, acrylic measuring base plate, larger electrolyser, and a programmable load bank. Our load bank includes a built-in data logger which exports data directly to a PC for use with an HTML based visualization software. The data can also be used with standard programs such as Excel.Investigate the characteristics of the micro fuel cell stacks by running experiments to: measure the polarization curve, track hydrogen consumption, analyze temperature readings and make recommendations for potential commercial applications.
