| | NexaŽ Basic Package | |
| The Nexa® Power Module comprises an air cooled fuel cell stack using Ballard’s PEM technology and all necessary fuel, electrical and control interfaces.
The Nexa® generates up to 1200 Watts of unregulated DC electrical power from hydrogen and oxygen (air). All necessary auxiliary components including an air compressor, cooling fan, humidity exchanger, purge valve, pressure regulator and microprocessor controller are built into the system.
includes:
Ballard’s Course Material, Nexamon Software and Starter-Kit Accompanying the Nexa® Power Module, the Nexamon OEM software provides monitoring and data-logging of over 20 system variables, including stack temperature, current, stack voltage, purge cell voltage, air-flow and system life-time. The software provides an easy and powerful way for the student to monitoring fuel cell performance throughout a test cycle. Also accompanying the Nexa® is starter-kit containing a mounting tray, cables
harness, computer interface and other items for convenient laboratory set-up and operation. The installed EEPROM collects stores information about system run time, stack run time and many more.
The course material is organised as a full day course in fuel cells and includes sections on fuel cell basics, hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and hydrogen safety, as well as an instructors guide and 70 slide handouts. Also included is a 20 minute Video on hydrogen safty. (It comes as ring binder and CD-ROM)
Blocking Diode
The blocking diode protects the fuel cell from back current surges.
Power Supply
The Power Supply provides the power required for startup of the Nexa® Power Module.
24 V DC/DC-Converter
Custom designed for the Nexa® Power Module, the DC/DC converter package provides voltage regulation to 24 V, necessary startup power, back current surge protection and battery hybrid operation. This package includes: Microprocessor and software for battery management, Battery Package, a convenient Operating Panel and an RS232 Adaptor.
DC/AC Inverter
DC/AC Inverters takes the power from your 24 volt DC and boost it to AC power. Designed using the latest technology, the inverters deliver efficient modified sine wave energy to run even the toughest equipment and appliances such as power tools, lights, computers and microwaves, just to name a few.
Variable Resistance Load
The most economical way to perform characteristic curve experiments. The Resistance Load provides loads through the entire power range of the Nexa® Power Module (up to 1.5 kW).
DC Electronic Load
Precise experiments and real application simulations can be carried out with the electronic load. Can be operated manually or via control software on a PC.
Hydrogen Connection Set
For Compressed Hydrogen Cylinders; everything required to connect the hydrogen cylinder to the Nexa® Power Module. Includes a single stage gas regulator and appropriate gas fittings.
Hydrogen Sensor and Leak Detection Set
Emergency response and leak detection. Gas concentrations that exceed the pre-set alarm level are signalled by both audio and visual indicators. |
