A 4-volume set of lesson books covering key curriculum topics of Chemistry and Physics, presented through student inquiry activities and written assignments. A total of 25 experiments and 19 readings in three volumes. The fourth volume presents background information on fuel cell and hydrogen technology.
Complete 4-volume set
”Energy through Hydrogen” –
Background information on history and science of fuel cells and hydrogen technology.
”Science through Hydrogen” –
Junior-level Physical Science
”Chemistry through Hydrogen” –
Senior-level Chemistry
”Physics through Hydrogen” –
Senior-level Physics
The experiments
Each experiment is presented through a teacher’s guide and student guide. The teacher’s guide offers specific information on the learning objectives and experiment set-up. The student guide provides suggestions for the student in the planning, undertaking and evaluation of the experiments, and highlights the relevant scientific principles. The experiments may be undertaken individually or in groups as part of on-going experimental work. The student guides may be photocopied for student use.
The written assignments
The written assignments target comprehension and literacy skills by offering both extended reading and questions requiring written answers. All written assignment activities are set in the topical context of hydrogen technology and energy sustainability. Team-working skills are encouraged in debate/discussion exercises.
