Fuel Cell Feasibility
Project Specifications Declaration
An H-Tech design consultant will provide the client with a fuel cell installation questionnaire and formal request for additional required documents. Upon receipt of this information the project’s specifications will be declared, formatted for usability and summarized. The project specifications declaration defines the following items:
Project Application
-
Primary function of the intended fuel cell system
-
Secondary functions the system must perform.
-
Special considerations and objectives of customer
Project Constraints
-
Power Demands
-
Electricity requirements showing past, current and future usage
-
Supplemental gas requirements
-
Heating and colling demands (if applicable).
-
-
Regulations
-
Statement of the relevant fuel cell emissions regulations.
-
Statement of the relevant grid intertie regulations (if applicable).
-
-
Fuel feed sources available including limitations
- Environmental considerations of the potential project site.
-
Customer specific requirements such as project completion time scope.
Equipment Selection
A comprehensive evaluation of the current commercially available and applicable fuel cell system options will be provided.
Technology Overview
The commercially available and applicable fuel cell types including the operating principals, advantages and disadvantages will be discussed. The following fuel cell system specifications will be defined.
- System performance ratings
- Environment constraints
- Fuel supply requirements
- Cogeneration assessment
- Maintenance / warranty terms and conditions
- Special considerations
Manufacturer Overview
A company profile will be presented for each manufacturer of suitable fuel cell systems including a brief company history overview, fuel cell background, past project list and point of contact details.
