APFCT was incorporated in March 2000 with company headquarters located in Chunan, Miaoli, Taiwan, and a branch research laboratory in Anaheim, California, USA.


The primary business goal of APFCT is the commercialization of Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) fuel cells. Towards this end,
APFCT's strategies are:

• To be provider of fuel cell stacks and systems in the power range from 100W to 12kW.
• Enter commercialization of fuel cell with scooter engines,engines of light-duty vehicles and mobile power generators.
• Development of safe and convenient metal hydride hydrogen storage and distribution system.


APFCT has completed development of its core technologies of low cost, mass producible PEM fuel cell and metal hydride hydrogen storage systems. These core technologies form a modular power system which can be integrated with various platforms for transportation, mobile power generation and a host of other special applications.

In preparation of market penetration into the world fuel cell market, APFCT has formed strategic alliances with various related industries for vehicle manufacture and hydrogen infrastructure.


APFCT has a team of experienced and dedicated engineers and scientists with several holding PhD degrees. Two well equipped laboratories support programs in all aspects of fuel cell system and component development and testing. The highly innovative environment at APFCT is reflected in the over 200 patent submissions and 80 patent awards worldwide as of October 2005.


APFCT is in the forefront of commercialization of PEM fuel cells with technologies in stack design and manufacture, system integration and metal hydride hydrogen storage. As a mid-stream supplier of fuel cell components and systems, APFCT has the potential capability as the enabling catalyst in the vertical integration of upstream and downstream products and expand into new areas of transportation, stationary power and mobile power generation.
