WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM A PORTABLE FUEL CELL?
If you have ever had your battery go flat on your mobile phone, laptop, camcorder or power tool you will appreciate Voller Energy fuel cell technology. Fuel cells can provide instant recharging; using small canisters of fuel your device can be immediately returned to full power. Given these advantages, it's no surprise that the portable fuel cell sector is expected to show rapid growth in the next few years.
Voller Energy fuel cell systems can charge remote monitoring equipment, surveillance cameras and industrial equipment in remote locations. The VE100RM can also be used in conjunction with other power sources such as Photo-Voltaic ('PV') solar panels or wind turbines to provide continuous power over an extended period of time.
Our systems are aimed at customers with a requirement for constant energy, or high up-time equipment in a variety of remote or potentially hostile environments. Historically, most of these applications use batteries, which have to be recharged. The new fuel cell system will re-charge them automatically.
Portable power
Voller Energy is a leader in portable fuel cell systems, one of the first companies in the world who have deliverable technology. Portable fuel cells are widely predicted to be the first type of fuel cell to reach a mass market and Voller Energy is now well positioned as an early leader in this sector.
Climate change and global warming concern everyone. New technology can be used to help produce the energy we all need, but with reduced greenhouse gas emissions. Fuel cells are one exciting example of these new technologies.
The world fuel cell market will be worth $45 billion by 2011, and portable fuel cells will be worth $17 billion of this. Fuel cell systems can be broken down into three broad market areas: Portable (generators and battery chargers), Stationary (electrical power generation) and Transport (fuel cell powered vehicles).
Voller Energy is focused on the portable area. This is also expected to be the first area of the market where fuel cells will be accepted.
