CTFC is an advanced research and development facility established to investigate and prove new approaches for thin films for solar cells, fuel cells, advanced batteries or other renewable energy technologies.

The center provides the machinery and expert staff necessary to develop and test new, and improve existing, manufacturing processes for thin film coating and laminating.
