| Description | Politecnico di Torino is involved in the hydrogen and fuel cell research with the effort of 4 of its departments: Energy, Chemistry and Material Engineering, Physics and Electrical Engineering.
The interest of all ranges from the production of hydrogen and its storage means to the fuel cells (both PEM and SOFC, in a more detailed way) and the integration of fuel cells in complex systems as automotive and aerospacial propulsion systems.
The institute has benefited of several European projects fundings in the fifth framework programme and it is currently involved in the proposals for many projects in the sixth. Politecnico has written the research programme and found additional partners to the HysyLab project (www.hysylab.com) opened on the 5th of June in Torino. |
